Macerated fruity Sangria cocktail classic with wine and chopped citrus orange, bitter cucumber and juicy sweet strawberries.

Splurge into a liquid summer punch. And, bathe your parched soul.

This drink will blow away your belief that you can’t create a vegan cocktail this tasty.

When to make:

Make this:

  • When you’re feeling reminiscent for the streets of Barcelona, this cocktail is the perfect way to capture that essence.
  • When you need a quick and delicious pre-drink before heading out to the party. Whip up a batch of Sangria
  • When you’re seeking the perfect accompaniment to a sizzling summer barbecue. It’s time to sip on a glass of Sangria
What inspired me:

My love for Sangria was sparked during an evening pre-drink at a friend’s apartment in Barcelona. As my bestie and ex-beau vied for the wine-soaked, fruity deliciousness, I knew I had to recreate this classic cocktail at home.

Origin of Sangria:

Sangria originates from ancient Rome, when fruits and herbs were added to foul tasting table wine was added to unsafe water.

Recipe Highlights:
  • Vibrant and fruity: The combination of macerated citrus, cucumber, and strawberries creates a truly refreshing and flavourful Sangria
  • Vegan and classic: This cocktail is a plant-based take on the traditional Sangria, staying true to its origins
  • Quick and easy: Whipping up a batch of this summer punch is a breeze, perfect for last-minute gatherings

Versatile: Enjoy Sangria as a nostalgic nod to Barcelona, a pre-party libation, or a backyard barbecue accompaniment

What equipment to use:

I don’t recommend any particular equipment for this drink.
